Java from Moda Fabrics

Pies and Tarts Party

Our customers who participated in our Pies and Tarts block of the month that we just finished were invited to stop in for a little pie just before the busy holidays on Saturday. It is always so inspiring to see such fabulous quilts and thank you to all of you who stopped by.This wonderful scrappy quilt using civil war reproduction fabrics came to the Calico House via an Australian pattern company.

Bags for storing and carrying digital accessories

There is an awesome pattern for an iPad or kindle bag in this new exciting book. The interior is divided with one side dedicated and specially padded for your digital device with ample room on the remaining half of the interior for a small magazine or wallet. Customer Appreciation Day

A good time was had by all.We loved sharing information on the new products we found at quilt market. And we will be restocking the items we sold out of in time for holiday giving.

I just finished binding this little quilt some lucky soul will win at our Customer Appreciation Day this Saturday ,November 13th. La Petite Ecole

What can I say, it was a really good day at the Calico House Friday. We had a wonderful surprise when these new French General precuts arrived. Each new fabric line changes just a little bit from the previous group and the lovely edition this time is a faded denim color.These fabric collections represent colors that could have been found in 18th C. rural homes in France.

Sugar Pop Precuts

Wow !!! Sugar Pop, a great group of vibrant clear colors and fun fabrics by Liz Scott. One of several exciting new designers for Moda and someone to keep our eye on in the future.

Her web site is www.lizscott.com and her blog is www.paperpie.typepad.com. We first saw her fabric at the Moda retreat on the design board and it was truly love at first sight. These precuts are available now while supply lasts and the bolts will arrive in December. We will have a great selection to choose from, so let us know if you would like to be notified of there arrival.She has a cute pincushion and oopsy daisy pillow on her blog featuring these bold ,punchy florals and mod nature motifs. Liz is currently a freelance surface designer who has our attention.

Our creative juices are really cooking and we are sewing as fast as we can making lots of fun things for our customer appreciation day. I know I can feel the excitement growing so plan to stop by all day Saturday , November 13th.

Quilt market favorites

This is just a small preview of one of Moda's new fabric lines we loved. This fabulous group will release this coming spring. We noticed a large increase in the use of solid colors and we have just received a new assortment at the Calico House.
