A little paint , a little fabric and the will to get it done.

These fabrics by Julie and Eric Comstock from the 2wenty Thr3e
collection for Moda inspire me every day.

Last weekend I painted my bench that was on my patio a medium gray.
It was 80 degrees out side.

Then last night I quilted the fabric above for the cushion until midnight.
It was 29 degrees out side.

My brain kept telling me to stop and go to bed, but I am stubborn and
my heart told me to just keep going.
Sandy from our staff had to help me as I cut the fabric to make the cushion.
I knew I would only get one chance to get it right.
The best information she shared with me was to cut my filler
  the finished size I wanted.
My bench was 40 inches long and 17½ inches wide so I cut the filler exactly that.
I cut the quilted fabric after we had wrapped it around the filler, which
was 2 inches thick
and added a healthy 1 inch seam allowance.
I wanted to add ties to the back and Sandy talked me into adding ties to
 the front corners too.
I looked at foam for the filler but ended up with one that seemed
denser like a stiff batting.
I am very pleased with the finished product and
very thankful Sandy was there to help.

I used the top fabric in the mustard color way above,
but we have the other two colors shown in stock.

After the cushion was done , I started making pillows
and we finished this one before the day was done.

Last weekend I also sewed up the little zippy with this collection.
Can you see why I love the 2wenty Thr3e collection so much.

I hope to make another pillow with the number fabric above this weekend.
Numbers and script continue to be a very popular theme on fabrics.
Hope you have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by.
I need to go relax. Janeese
