Building permit #2

All of our houses feature Zen Chics new Hey Dot fabric and Grunge from Moda. We currently have 35 colors of grunge in stock. And we just ordered more colors. What  is your favorite? Mine is a chartreuse green.

Andrea from our staff,(she works on Saturdays) is our builder this week.

She is originally from the western part of Nebraska.

Andrea wrote the following :

My favorite thing about our home is that our balcony looks out onto a cornfield and we can see a beautiful Nebraska sunset every night. I love to look at the colorful clouds. .

We also asked the staff to provide a favorite recipe.
Andrea chose Sauteed beef with sun-dried tomato sauce

ingredients

1/3 cup julienne sliced sun-dried tomato packed in oil
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tsp lemon pepper
1 pound top round beef round steak
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 cup chopped onion

In a small bowl mix the first 4 ingredients and set aside.
Cut the steak into thin strips and cut each strip into 1 to 1 1/2 inch long pieces.

Heat 1 Tbsp of olive oil in a 12 " skillet over medium high heat.
Add steak pieces, sprinkle with garlic powder. Saute over medium high heat,
stirring often, until meat is cooked, approximately 5 minutes.
Remove meat and set aside, discard pan juices.
Place onion in pan and saute over medium heat,
approximately 2 minutes, until soft. Add cooked meat and sun-
dried tomato mixture to onion in skillet. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly.
1 minute or until heated through.

Serve over angel hair pasta.
Makes 4 servings.

My Hint for this week is about thread choices. When sewing with a lot
of different colors of fabrics, I try for a neutral thread that is not to dark or light.
I find my self using a lot of gray and light tan.
Happy sewing , Janeese
We would love to see your houses as you are sewing or you can share them on #ModaBeMyNeighbor too.
