Perfect child's ottoman, Perfect gift.

Are you looking for a wonderful idea to make for the little ones in your family and their friends. These adorable ottomans are perfect. I made this one for our Christmas in July event this last Saturday. It is 18 inches wide and approximately 9 inches tall.
It is light as a feather and filled with bean bag pellets. And aren't they clever they designed it with a handle so the child can take it to where they want to go. A slight warning if you haven't ever filled any thing with the pellets before, watch out. I now have them every where in my sewing room. They weigh nothing and fly about easily.

The pattern suggests adding an initial or a name. That would be fun and Cori at the store suggested we sew pockets on the sides for books or dolls or little cars. We all thought that was a great idea too.
The pattern also suggests using the new clover wrap and fuse for the cording. No sew, just wrap your fabric over the cording and iron, done.
The pattern is available. Let us save one for you.

  1. And Jody it was not that hard to make. The hardest part for me was turning it inside out thru a small slit. My slit got enlarged the more frustrated I got. I hope to make many more.
